From August 2025, IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) is considering TOEFL essential (by ETS) as an approved English language proficiency exam for PR applications. Though IRCC has not officially confirmed but ETS confirmed that IRCC will update its official site once acceptance begins.
Is TOEFL the Best Choice? Why PTE May Be Smarter for Canada PR
Although TOEFL Essentials has been officially designated by IRCC, but is not active yet and might take some time.
