A few weeks into preparation, most students hit the same wall. The mock tests start repeating. The weakest section is the one already exhausted. And a second attempt at a paper is never quite clean, because the first one is still sitting there. That is not a motivation problem. It is a content and tooling problem.

This update deals with exactly that. Here is what has changed and how to use it.

Extensive Mock Tests and Section-Wise Tests for Every Skill

The PTE mock test library has gone from 80 full-length tests to 150. Section-wise tests have gone from 40 to 100 for each of Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening.

Why does the number matter? Because once you recognise a passage or a prompt, you are testing your memory, not your English. A bigger bank pushes that point much further out. Run full mocks every few days for stamina, and use the 100 section-wise tests to hit your weakest skill daily without repeating a paper.

Reset Your Mock and Section-Wise Tests

Two reset options, and they do different things.

  • Reset a test (Prime students, PTE and IELTS): With an active Prime plan you can reset any mock test or section-wise test and attempt it again, as many times as you like while your membership is active.
  • Reset Account (all students): Under Profile, one click permanently removes all your practice, mock test and section test data across every supported exam. Use it for a genuine fresh start. It cannot be undone.

A small but useful detail: questions in mock and section-wise tests are now static. Nothing shuffles between attempts, so a retake after a reset is a true like-for-like comparison with your first attempt.

Monthly Prediction Filter and Score Contribution

  • Monthly Prediction filter: Inside Question-wise Practice, you can now filter by the current month’s predictions, the quickest way to narrow the PTE practice bank down to the questions most worth your time before an exam.
  • Score Contribution: Hover over the Practice dropdown in the PTE header to see how much each question type contributes to your score. Turns out, students spend hours on tasks that barely move the number. Now the weighting is in front of you before you choose what to practise.

What’s New for IELTS?

The rebuilt IELTS platform went live last month. Two more additions since:

  • AI Chat: An AI-powered assistant is now available inside the IELTS section, so you can ask about an answer, a question type or a writing structure without leaving your practice screen.
  • Audio download in Student Answers: Download your recorded Speaking responses to listen back, share with a tutor, or compare week to week. Hearing yourself at exam pace is uncomfortable. It is also the fastest way to catch fillers and pauses you never notice while speaking.
  • IELTS Writing AI Scoring: AI-powered Writing Evaluation is now available. Students can now get an AI-generated estimated band score for their IELTS Writing responses, helping them understand their performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • IELTS Student Answer – Audio Download: Added the Audio Download option in Student Answers for IELTS, allowing students to download and review their recorded responses.
  • Cambridge Filter Added in IELTS: Added the Cambridge filter to IELTS Mock Tests in the Dashboard for easier filtering and management.

Gurully gives you full-length mock tests, section-wise tests and question-wise practice for PTE and IELTS, now with a much larger library and the ability to reset and retake. With accurate scoring and detailed performance analysis, you can identify your strengths, work on weaker areas, and build the confidence needed to achieve your target score.
